MDL AWARDED CONTRACT FROM ROYAL HASKONING FOR DYNASCAN
MDL has been awarded a Contract by Royal Haskoning, for the DTM Topographical LIDAR Survey of Baku New Port, Azerbaijan.
The Contract requires a high resolution survey of the surrounding land, all man-made infrastructure targets including roads and railways, as well as all natural surface features such as rock outcrops, vegetation and trees.
The survey will be conducted using MDL’s Dynascan mobile laser mapping system. Dynascan is an integrated system with laser scanning, GPS & Inertial Navigation sensor all in one pod, for Land and Marine applications. The system is truly portable and cost effective solution for 3D surveys of land features.
Gordon Lyall, Sales Director for MDL, commented: “This is a truly pioneering project, and an excellent application for our scanning laser technology. Great credit must go to Royal Haskoning, for realizing the efficiency and cost benefits of deploying MDL’s mobile LIDAR system.”
The 3D topographical data will be merged with the bathymetric data gathered by the hydrographic survey contractor.
